Dissipative particle dynamics (DPD) simulations are performed to study the phase transition of sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) in aqueous solution, which is an anionic surfactant commonly known as sodium dodecyl sulfate. In this work, the aim is to find a coarse-grained minimal model suitable to produce the full phase diagram of SDS. We examine the coarse-grained models of …

SDS PAGE,also known as Sodium Dodecyl Sulphate-Polyacrylamide Gel Electrophoresis is a technique used for separating the proteins based on their molecular weight. It is a widely used technique in forensics, genetics, biotechnology, and molecular biology to separate the protein molecules based on their electrophoretic mobility.
SUMMARY The interaction of sodium dodecyl sulfate with a wide variety of proteins is characterized by a high binding ratio when the monomer concentration of amphiphile exceeds 5 x 10W4 M. This binding ratio on a gram to gram basis is identi- cal for all proteins investigated. The protein portion of the

Abstract. In this study, we investigated the effect of sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) content on the structure and properties of chitosan films. It is found that the binding of SDS to chitosan was realized through the interactions between –SO 4 − and –NH 3 +, forming an ionically cross-linked film.Structural analysis revealed that the crystallization was greatly hindered by introducing SDS.
SUMMARY Interactions between polyethylene oxide and sodium dodecyl sulfate were studied at the silica-water interface. It was observed that SDS, which does not otherwise interact with silica, does adsorb onto it in significant amounts in the presence of preadsorbed PEO. The binding isotherm of SDS on PEO at the solid-liquid interface was similar
Sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS), also known as lauryl sulfate, is an ionic detergent that is useful for the rapid disruption of biological membranes. It is a key component of many reagents used to purify nucleic acids because of its abilities to quickly disrupt the tissue architecture and to inhibit both RNase and deoxyribonuclease (DNase) activity.
